Curated by Teresia Bush

I have always been disturbed by the amount of violence that surrounds us on a day-to-day basis and how much watching it seems to be enjoyed by so many. In this group of work, I use common objects to create assemblages that serve as reminders of the violence that exists within individuals as well as whole societies. I want to call attention to the widespread failure of the way we humans go about resolving our differences and how inept we are at using our advanced intelligence to figure out more effective ways of avoiding suffering and bloodshed. I want my work to speak to the tragedy and senselessness of cruelty and conflict.

Building Hours: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
